PartsName.com specializes in seamless cross-border logistics, providing Canadian drivers direct access to premium inventory. We handle the complexities of international shipping, customs, and brokerage so you don’t have to. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms:

1. Fulfillment & Origin

All orders are processed in real-time. To ensure the fastest delivery, orders are dispatched directly from our US-based fulfillment network to your Canadian destination.

2. Shipping Timelines & Estimates

  • Order Cut-off: Orders placed before 12:00 PM EST on business days are typically processed the same day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the following business day.
  • Transit Times: Standard delivery typically ranges from 3–7 business days.
  • No Guarantee Clause: Transit times are estimates provided by carriers. PartsName.com is not liable for delays caused by carrier capacity, weather, or Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) inspections.

3. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (DDP)

We operate on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.

  • At Checkout: All applicable GST/HST and brokerage fees are calculated and collected at the time of purchase. The price you see at checkout is the final price; no additional COD fees will be required upon delivery.
  • Importer of Record: By purchasing, you authorize our designated customs broker to act as your agent to clear merchandise with the CBSA and remit duties and taxes on your behalf.

4. Address Accuracy & Undeliverable Packages

  • Customer Responsibility: We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
  • Failed Delivery: If a package is returned due to an incorrect address or multiple failed delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for the original shipping costs, return freight, and a 25% restocking fee.

5. Risk of Loss & Damage

  • Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss passes to the customer once the carrier confirms delivery.
  • Damage Claims: You must inspect items immediately. If an item is damaged, you must report it to support@partsname.com within 48 hours with clear photos of the part and the packaging.

Shipping to Canada: Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Will I have to pay any extra duties or brokerage fees when my package arrives?

No. We ship all orders Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). This means all GST/HST, customs duties, and brokerage fees are calculated and paid at checkout. The price you see on your order confirmation is the final price—no surprise invoices from the courier, guaranteed.

How long does shipping usually take?

Most orders arrive within 3 to 7 business days.

  • Processing: Orders placed before 12:00 PM EST on business days usually ship the same day.

  • Tracking: You will receive a tracking number as soon as your part clears our US fulfillment hub and enters the carrier network.

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

Currently, we require a physical street address for all deliveries. Because we use specialized cross-border carriers to ensure speed and low costs, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

What happens if my part is damaged during shipping?

Don't worry, we've got you covered. Please inspect your package as soon as it arrives. If you see any damage:

  1. Take clear photos of the damaged part and the box.

  2. Email us at support@partsname.com within 48 hours.

  3. We will handle the claim with the carrier and get a replacement moving for you.

Why is there a restocking fee for returns?

Shipping heavy auto parts across the border is expensive. The 25% restocking fee helps cover the specialized logistics, international brokerage reversals, and processing costs required to send items back to our US centers. To avoid this, we highly recommend double-checking your VIN before ordering!

Can I track my order once it crosses the border?

Yes. Your tracking link will remain active from the moment it leaves the US fulfillment centre until it reaches your doorstep. There is no "blackout period" while the part is in customs.
